Since the early 1980s The Orchard Veterinary Centre has provided a safe and sure way of providing high quality, no worry, veterinary treatment with its Pal For Life scheme. Over the years more than 20,000 pets have benefited from the Scheme. Members of our Pal for Life scheme never have to worry about paying to see the vet, the cost of vaccinations, operations carried out for medical reasons, necessary lab tests and microchips (and that’s just a few of the perks!) and the scheme is open to all pets regardless or age or breed!
In addition, members also get discounts on medicines, neutering, dental treatment, physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, flea and worm treatments, food and other services. Plus, subscriptions are reduced for additional pets, and we even give you a 10% discount off your renewal if your pet remains healthy.
There’s no limit to the amount of cover, your subscription won’t be increased because of age or illness, and there’s no excess to pay when treatment is carried out at one of our surgeries.
If you aren’t yet registered with us all we need is your previous vet history – from there we can book you an appointment to join to scheme. There are no complicated forms to fill in – we just require a signature and a direct debit mandate and then you’re good to go!

By enrolling your pet you become a member of our exclusive club. The Scheme has the following advantages over commercial insurance policies: No limit to the amount of cover - Your subscription will not be increased because of age or illness.
All illnesses are covered - We will not exclude anything that develops during membership, so life-long problems are covered - for life.
There is no excess to pay when treatment is carried out at our surgeries.
Old and sick animals can also be covered - even those on long-term medication.
We include many things that no insurance policy can cover, such as vaccination, nail clipping, microchips, minor ailments - and a check-up whenever you want.
