Did you know that we offer hydrotherapy?

Here at the Orchard Veterinary Centre we have qualified physiotherapists who are dedicated to providing comprehensive rehabilitation programmes which are tailored to the individual needs of each patient. Not only do we offer physiotherapy sessions but, since moving to our state-of-the-art surgery in Oldbury, we have been able to offer hydrotherapy sessions to suitable patients.

One of the recent successors of our rehabilitation service is Ozzy the therapy dog. As a working boy, it was important that Ozzy had a speedy recovery following a ruptured ligament.

Once his wound healed, Ozzy was able to start building us his muscle strength with the use of our hydrotherapy pool. This also helped with a bit of weight loss, as he’s often rewarded at work with treats!

Weight management is an important part of managing any cruciate disease as carrying extra weight puts more pressure on the joints and can speed up the disease process.

Our rehabilitation services can be used to combat a number of issues including stiffness and pain caused by osteoarthritis, orthopaedic conditions such as hip dysplasia, neurological conditions or muscular weakness and to aid post-operative recovery after joint surgery or fracture repair.
